Spain tied up one of the top seed spots for next summer’s European finals after beating Romania 5-0 in the last group game. Gayà had a goal ruled out and Cazorla hit the bar before Fabián opened the scoring, following up after Tatarusanu could only push out a shot from Carvajal in the eighth minute. Gerard Moreno added two more from Cazorla and Gayà centres before crossing in for Rus to turn the ball into his own net on the stroke of half time, and Oyarzábal completed the scoring with a low shot in injury time.
