Spain stay top of their group after a comfortable 1-4 win over the Faroe Islands on Friday evening. A Sergio Ramos header and a strike from Jesús Navas put the visitors two up within twenty minutes, the two defenders dedicating their goals to their recently deceased ex-Sevilla team-mate José Antonio Reyes. Olsen got one back for the hosts on the half hour mark, but just three minutes later keeper Gestsson deflected the ball into his own net after Isco’s shot came back off the upright, and after the restart Gayà wrapped things up following a Marco Asensio assist. Spain’s next match is on Monday night against Sweden, currently second in their group.
