Barcelona are World Champions for the second time in three years after a crushing 0-4 win over Santos in the final! Messi opened the scoring with just over a quarter of an hour gone, chipping the keeper after picking up a pass from Xavi, and just seven minutes later Xavi scored the second himself, collecting a Dani Alves pass and taking the ball past his marker before drilling a low shot past Rafael. And although Valdés had to save from Borges later in the first half, Fàbregas virtually made sure of a victory with a third goal on the stroke of half time after the keeper had saved from Alves and then Thiago. Rafael had to be at his best to save from Fàbregas and Messi after the restart, and Alves and Iniesta both failed to find the target as Barça dominate possession once again. Valdés had some work to do as well though, the Spanish international keeper saving from Borges and Neymar later on, but Messi rounded off a perfect night with Barça's fourth near the end.
