Spain comfortably beat USA in the first of two post-season friendlies on the American continent. Del Bosque gave a run out to some of his lesser used players, but even so they were three up by the break, with Cazorla scoring two from David Silva assists, and Xabi Alonso putting through Negredo in between. Half time substitute Fernando Torres rounded off the scoring later on after debutant Borja Valero set him up.
